Anthony Joshua Stands by Dillon Danis Amid Feud with Logan Paul’s Fiancee
In a surprising turn of events, former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has voiced his support for MMA star Dillon Danis, despite Danis recently being served with a restraining order due to his relentless attacks on Nina Agdal, the fiancee of YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul. Danis is scheduled to face Paul in a boxing match on October 14 at Manchester Arena.
The buildup to this bout has been marked by a heated rivalry between Danis and Paul, with Danis frequently targeting Agdal on social media to get under Paul’s skin. However, Danis crossed a line when he repeatedly posted explicit photos of Agdal online, leading to a restraining order against him.
Anthony Joshua, known for his accomplishments in the world of boxing, has come to Danis’ defense, asserting that in the realm of boxing, there are no rules governing fighters’ behavior outside the ring. In an interview with DAZN, Joshua stated, “I’ll be real, in this game of boxing, there are no rules. The internet is undefeated. All of your information is out there at the end of the day. What you put out there will always come back around full circle. Unfortunately, they are using this as a war tactic – and you’re at war. So there are no low blows, and anything is acceptable in the art of war.”
Danis escalated his personal attacks on Agdal by sharing an explicit video in which she talked openly about her desires. Subsequently, Agdal filed a lawsuit against Danis, claiming that he had posted “despicable” content about her over 250 times since their bout was announced. She alleged suffering humiliation, emotional distress, and damage to her reputation as a result of Danis’ actions.
Despite the legal action taken against him, Danis continued his online attacks. Just one day after being served with papers related to the lawsuit, he posted a provocative photo of Agdal on a beach, accompanied by the caption “Morning” and a sun emoji, a phrase he had repeatedly used in his trolling efforts.
A video obtained by TMZ showed a process server attempting to deliver the lawsuit documents to Danis outside his apartment building in Jersey City, New Jersey. In a bizarre twist, Danis denied being the intended recipient and refused to accept the envelope, even though he was captured on video.
Logan Paul, unfazed by the legal proceedings, has confirmed that Agdal will be present at his upcoming fight despite the restraining order. Paul clarified, “It’s not a physical restraining order, she’ll be there.” He expressed no concern about potential confrontations between Agdal and Danis, emphasizing the contrast between Danis online and in person, describing the latter as “a puddle” and assuring that Agdal is a “warrior.”
The highly anticipated bout between Danis and Paul, set for October 14, will mark Paul’s return to the boxing ring since his 2019 loss to KSI. Conversely, it will be Danis’ first professional boxing match, following his withdrawal from a bout with KSI in 2022 amid allegations of being unprepared. The event features Danis and Paul as co-headliners, alongside KSI’s showdown with Tommy Fury.
Dillon Danis has voiced his disappointment over not receiving an invitation to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) Podcast, despite receiving praise from the UFC commentator for his trolling prowess.
Getting a coveted invite to join Joe Rogan on his renowned podcast can be a challenging endeavor. Rogan meticulously reviews pitches from potential guests, extending invitations only to those whose topics genuinely intrigue him. While Rogan frequently features his close friends like Brendan Schaub, Joey Diaz, Shane Gillis, and Bert Kreischer on the show, one notable omission from the guest list has been Dillon Danis.
This absence is especially perplexing, given that Danis, a former UFC fighter, is gearing up for a highly anticipated bout against Logan Paul on October 14. Rogan had previously lauded Danis as a “great” troll, acknowledging the fighter’s efforts to generate buzz and interest in the upcoming fight.
Dillon Danis expressed his frustration regarding this matter during his appearance on the October 4 episode of Andrew Schulz’s FLAGRANT podcast. During their conversation, Danis and Schulz discussed Rogan’s recent acknowledgment of Danis’s trolling skills.
Danis expressed his closeness to Rogan, stating, “Me and Joe are really close, you know, and then he doesn’t have me on – that’s messed up.” He did, however, mention that Rogan had generously provided him with eight front-row tickets to his show at Madison Square Garden.
Schulz chimed in, suggesting that it must have felt good to receive praise from Rogan regardless. Danis agreed, acknowledging the positive sentiment, before the conversation shifted to other topics.
