Lewis went on a 6-fight winning streak before losing to Mark Hunt in June 2017.
His next three wins were massive – Marcin Tybura, Francis Ngannou and Alexander Volkov. This unbeaten run set him up for a title fight against Daniel Cormier.
However, Lewis was beaten by Cormier in the title fight. He lost his next fight as well, against Junior dos Santos.
‘The Black Beast’ once again went on an impressive run of form. This run earned him a shot at the interim heavyweight title.
At UFC 265, Lewis couldn’t come up trumps against Ciryl Gane whilst challenging for the interim heavyweight title.
