As clay-court events continue to roll on, the Madrid Open 2022 qualifiers have already begun. The Spanish tournament will see an array of tennis stars fighting for the prestigious ATP title.

Although there are a few young guns who stand a great chance to win the Madrid Open this year, ardent tennis fans want to see veterans Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal go head to head once again on a clay court. The last time these two faced each other was at the 2021 French Open where Djokovic got the better of the Spaniard.

But with Nadal’s injury woes and Djokovic out of form, fans have been curious to know whether the two tennis legends will take part at the Madrid Open. The two haven’t played each other this year but there is potential that the two could meet at the opposite ends of the court at the Spanish capital.
