The Argentine’s team don’t always play great attacking football, but they are effective and get results.
Barcelona haven’t looked all that great under Ernesto Valverde. However, they always have more than a chance of winning with Lionel Messi in the team.
There are some big names missing from the clash with Diego Costa ruled out. Sergio Busquests is suspended for the clash while Ousmane Dembele is also out with an injury (h/t ESPN).
Goalkeeper
There is no difference between the price of the Barcelona No.1 and the Atletico No.1 but going with the home side’s keeper is a better option for this game.
Atletico have only conceded nine goals from 13 games this season and Jan Oblak is possibly the best keeper in the league.
Defenders
It is always preferable to pick full-backs as the defenders for this clash. They can get assists from crosses while also picking up points should the defence do well.
Kieran Trippier has done well since his move from Tottenham and has provided some important assists too.
Junior Firpo and Renan Lodi are the other defenders picked for this clash.
Midfielders
We have gone with some tough hitters in the midfield from both sides.
Arturo Vidal, Saul Niguez and Thomas Partey can all score a goal, but they are better known for this grit and determination in the midfield.
