The first Grand Slam of the year – the Australian Open 2022 is set to begin soon. It is scheduled from January 17, 2022, to January 30, 2022, and all of the world’s biggest tennis superstars are on a mission to outdo each other and emerge victorious.

Interestingly, there’s an added twist to this year’s Australian Open edition. In every category, the prize money for winners has been boosted which is quite the opposite of a COVID-affected 2021 Australian Open.

In 2022, a total prize pool of $75 million is up for grabs! Notably, this number represents a 4.5 per cent increase from last year, that is, 2021.
