12th seed Belinda Bencic takes on Italian veteran Camila Giorgi in the third round of the 2023 Australian Open on Saturday.

It must be tough being in the shoes of Camila Giorgi. She has had a pretty tough time outside the court with the allegations regarding her producing fake vaccination certificate to play in certain tournaments.
So far Giorgi has played quite well in the Australian Open. In the first round, she outplayed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and won the match in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Giorgi followed it up with another fine performance against Anna Karolina Schmiedlova and won her second match in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. The Italian star has hit 13 double faults in the two matches she has played and that is one thing that she would want to keep a check on.

The Olympic gold medalist came into the tournament on the back of a triumphant campaign in the Adelaide International 2. Bencic won the title by annihilating Daria Kasatkina in the final.
Bencic began her Australian Open campaign with a comprehensive win over Viktoriya Tomova. The match ended in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. In the second round, Bencic defeated Claire Liu in straight sets 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. Bencic is looking in red-hot form and is a strong contender to go the distance.
