10th seed Hubert Hurkacz takes on 29th seed Sebastian Korda in the fourth round of the 2023 Australian Open on Sunday.

In the first round, Hurkacz got the better of Pedro Martinez in straight sets. The 25-year-old hit 25 aces to rattle his opponent. In the second round, Hurkacz managed to go past Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego in five sets. After losing 2 out of the first 3 sets, Hurkacz beat Sonego 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 6-3, 6-3. In the third round, Hurkacz once again survived a scare against 20th seed Denis Shapovalov. On this occasion, Hurkacz won the first couple of sets but Shapovalov scripted a commendable comeback. The match eventually ended 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 6-3 in favor of Hurkacz.
Sebastian Korda
The exuberant American youngster began the year by finishing runner-up at the Adelaide International 1. He has continued the good form at the Australian Open and lost only one set in his first three matches.
Korda won his first-round clash against Cristian Garin in four sets. In the second round, Korda made light work of Yosuke Watanuki. One of Korda’s biggest wins came in the third round when he defeated last year’s finalist Daniil Medvedev in three competitive sets 7-6 (9-7), 6-3, 7-6 (7-4). Both Korda and Hurkacz will be playing in the fourth round of the Australian Open for the first time.
