The 21-year-old picked up comfortable wins against Kyle Edmund and Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the first and second rounds respectively. Sinner won both those matches in straight sets. In the third round, Sinner showed his class as he came back from a couple of sets down to defeat Marton Fucsovics 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0.
