Baron Corbin wants Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler in the team

King Corbin is not pleased with the SmackDown team for Survivor Series.

The latest WWE King of the Ring has been paired with Shorty G, Mustafa Ali, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.

SmackDown and Raw have traditionally fought the 5-on-5 match but this year, NXT are also involved.

Reigns is set to be the captain of this team, but Corbin threw shade on G and Ali.

The pair have earned the right to compete at after winning a couple of matches. However, King Corbin wanted others to be considered for the clash:

Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler have a ton of experience in the WWE, and pair have been tag champions in the past too.

Calling Ali a “bootleg” Iron man and G a basketball player might be stretching it, but it certainly was a funny comparison.

Ali and G weren’t too pleased with Corbin’s criticism too. The pair defended their positions on the SmackDown 5-on-5 team.

Ali is right in suggesting that Corbin had some rather poor outings when acting as the GM of Raw.

What next for the SmackDown team?

It will be interesting to see how the SmackDown dynamic works in the coming days as Survivor Series isn’t that far away.

Corbin might not be the best on the mic, but he certainly is great in the ring. SmackDown’s team selection is a great mix of wrestlers who all bring something different to the side.

Ali is a high-flyer and has some big moves in his arsenal which can swing the momentum towards the SmackDown team.

G is a great asset to have thanks to his technical background, while the other three are heavy hitters.

Strowman and Reigns could be the keys to SmackDown’s win. Corbin should not be taken lightly, given that he is a former Money in the Bank winner.

Raw have named a pretty stacked team too with Seth Rollins as their captain. The others in the five-man squad include Ricochet, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre.

The Scottish Psychopath could face Strowman while Ricochet would be a great match for Ali.

NXT are yet to name their squad or captain for the Survivor Series 5-on-5 triple threat match, and it will be interesting to see who they choose.
