Here is everything you should know about the upcoming Battlefield 2042. Watch the trailer and gameplay here!

After months of fan speculation, clues from production firm DICE, and indications from Electronic Arts execs, EA formally revealed Battlefield 2042 in June. After what seems like an eternity of anticipation from fans, the Battlefield 2042 release date was finally revealed, along with details on the Battlefield 2042 beta dates, a look at the Battlefield 2042 Portal, and much more. In addition to offering classic series maps in the mind-boggling Portal mode, the game will have 128-player maps, AI bots, new weaponry and gadgets, and a slew of futuristic vehicles to play with.

While there will be no campaign mode or Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 2042, the game will feature three “distinct, standout multiplayer experiences,” including a chaotic All-Out War Mode, a squad-based Hazard Mode, and the Battlefield Portal, which allows players to create their own Battlefield experiences.

Battlefield 2042 Release Date

Battlefield 2042 was supposed to be released on October 22, 2021, however, EA DICE announced in September 2021 that the game would be postponed and would now be released on November 19, 2021. The developers said that the reason for the delay was Covid-19. They needed the team to work together and some final touches to the game.

Platforms and Price

Battlefield will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC when it launches in November.

Pre-orders for Battlefield 2042 are now available, with three different editions to pick from. The Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions cost $69.99, while the standard PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions cost $59.99. The Gold Edition of Battlefield 2042 costs $89.99 on PC and $99.99 on console, while the Ultimate Edition costs $109.99 on PC and $119.99 on the console.

Battlefield 2042 Gameplay

Orbital, Hourglass, Manifest, Kaleidoscope, Breakaway, Discarded, and Renewal are the first seven maps in the game. We’ve seen a lot of the Orbital map because it was in the beta, but we hadn’t seen much of the other half-dozen battlefields until a recently published gameplay footage.

The Battlefield Portal feature, which allows players to “mix and match” content from prior Battlefield games like Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 3, is one of the most fascinating aspects of Battlefield 2042. That implies you’ll be able to fight an opponent player wielding an FG42 with a 2042-era assault weapon. This applies to vehicles as well, so expect to see some strange mashups of Panzer tanks battling high-tech choppers and planes. Battlefield 2042 will be released on November 19 for consoles and PC.
