Here is all that you need to know about the rules, registration and prize pool for the BattleGrounds Mobile India Series 2021 which is similar to PUBG.
For any online game, having a good esports infrastructure helps to boost the game. Keeping that in mind Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has organized their first tournament open for the public. This will give emerging players a chance to compete at the pro level.
BattleGrounds Mobile India Series 2021 can be considered a PUBG kind of game, and here are the details released by BGMI.
The players have to play 15 matches of which 10 will be considered and the top 1024 teams will be selected. In the online qualifiers, the teams will be divided into groups and they have to play 2 matches. The online qualifiers will have three rounds. The top 8 teams will be selected from round 1, the top 7 from round 2 and the top 4 from round 3. In the quarter-finals, the top 4 teams from the 4 groups will be selected.
The remaining 48 will move to the losers bracket where the top 8 will qualify. The semi-finals will have a Round Robin format where the top 16 teams with the highest cumulative points will qualify for the grand finals. In the Grand Finals, the top 16 teams will play 20 matches over a period of 4 days. The rankings will be decided based on the highest cumulative score. The team with the highest score will be declared the winner.
Battlegrounds Mobile India will have a prize pool of ₹1,00,00,000. The first place winners will get ₹ 50,00,000. The second and third place winners will get ₹25,00,000 and ₹10,00,000 respectively. The top sixteen teams will each get a monetary reward with the sixteenth place getting ₹10,000.
There are also special prizes for performance by an individual player.
The registration for the series is done through this site. The team has to fill up their details and select one member as the captain. The captain will be then held as the point of contact for the organisers and the team. The team members need to submit their email addresses, phone numbers, in-game names, character id and valid id proof.
