Bayley overtook another current star to reach this milestone
WWE star Bayley has turned her career around after her heel turn. The former Huggable One has teamed up well with Sasha Banks and has dominated SmackDown in recent months.
Bayley has won several titles during her time in WWE and her second reign as the SmackDown Women’s Champion has helped her reach a milestone.
WWE confirmed that Bayley is now the longest combined reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion ahead of Raw superstar Becky Lynch.
The SmackDown star has held the title for an astonishing 217 days over her two reigns as the top female in the Blue brand.
She surpassed Lynch’s mark of 216 days on December 27, and it will be interesting to see for how long she holds this crown.
The champion also shared her views after this milestone on Twitter and claimed she was a role model for all.
Bayley’s next target?
WWE have put Bayley and Banks in a rivalry with Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans.
While it would have made sense for Evans to go after the champion, the Southern Belle has been occupied with The Boss Sasha Banks.
Brooke has been beaten by Bayley in recent weeks, and it will be interesting to see what happens next with the champion.
Banks and Bayley have been great since returning as heels. The pair should also be in the running for the WWE Women’s tag titles, however, Asuka and Lynch are set to face off soon.
Royal Rumble is the first pay-per-view of 2020, and the only singles match confirmed is the clash between Daniel Bryan and The Fiend for the WWE Universal title.
