Lewis Capaldi had to take a break from his set due to a condition and Ebanie Bridges was left stunned by the gesture from the Glastonbury crowd
Lewis Capaldi is one of the biggest musicians in the world and recently was part of the Glastonbury Festival.
The Scottish star has a lot of hits to his name, and he was singing one of his hits when he could not continue.
Capaldi was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in 2022. However, the Scot was brave to come out and perform in front of a crowd, and they did not let him down. As Capaldi had trouble continuing his song, the crowd sang for him.
This was an incredible moment all around and attracted a lot of attention from around the world.
Ebanie Bridges, a boxer and OnlyFans star was also one of the many celebrities to comment about this.
The boxer didn’t know that Capaldi suffered from Tourette’s. She claimed that the singer was an inspiration before confirming that even she had some students who suffered from the condition.
Capaldi was diagnosed with the condition back in 2022, but he did confirm he would get involuntary ticks as early as 2018.
The singer has had some trouble completing a few of his sets and concerts. During an Instagram live session, Capaldi opened up on his struggles and how he was trying to push through them (h/t Rolling Stone):
“I’ve always had it, apparently,” he said at the time. “The worst thing about it is when I’m excited I get it, when I’m stressed, I get it, when I’m happy I get it. It happens all the time. Some days it’s more painful than others and some days it’s less painful.”
“It looks a lot worse than it is,” he added. “Sometimes it’s quite uncomfortable … but it comes and goes.”
Capaldi also has spoken about other effects Tourette’s has had on his life, but he has taken all of this in his stride and is moving forward.
The Scot also cancelled a lot of his shows in June so that he could prepare for the rest of his tour. Capaldi also has tried cannabis to help reduce the ticks and even an experimental watch which helped cut down on the problems.
