Corey Anderson earned a stunning KO win over Ryan Bader at Bellator 268
Corey Anderson has been killing it in Bellator. Ever since ‘Overtime’ left the UFC, he has been on an absolute tear.
Following a devastating KO loss against Jan Blachowicz in February 2020, Anderson moved to Bellator.
He made his debut at Bellator 251 against Melvin Manhoef and there has been no looking back from there.
Anderson entered the Bellator Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix and took on Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov at Bellator 257 in the LHW Grand Prix Quarterfinal.
He knocked out Yagshimuradov in the third round to advance to the semi-final. Former UFC fighter and Bellator World Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader was up next.
On the 16th of October, Anderson took on Bader at Bellator 268. Bader was coming off a unanimous decision win over Lyoto Machida at Bellator 256.
No sooner did the fight start than Corey Anderson was all over Ryan Bader. Unable to withstand the brute force with which Anderson was operating Bader began wilting under pressure.
Just forty seconds into the round, a big right hand from Anderson dropped Bader, and ‘Overtime’ swarmed all over him to get the finish.
Anderson is just one step away from greatness in Bellator. In his path stands the Bellator Light Heavyweight World Champion Vadim Nemkov who has not lost a single fight in the promotion.
Nemkov defeated Julius Anglickas in the semi-final to successfully defend his title and advance to the final.
