Best COD Warzone Assault Rifles
1. CW AK-47
The kickback of the Cold War AK-47 has been changed in a recent update to make it significantly simpler to manage. Anyone who has used the AK-47 before knows that this quirk made it tough to use in the past, but it’s much easier to master now. The CW AK-47 is the most powerful assault rifle in Warzone, with an outstanding TTK speed if you can hit your targets. There is possibly no greater sniper support weapon than the AK-47 from the Cold War. Check out our best Warzone assault rifles AK47 loadout to see how to get the most out of this weapon.
- Muzzle = Gru Suppressor
- Barrel = 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
- Optic = Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel = Spetsnaz Grip
- Magazine = 45 Rnd
2. Krig 6
Everything good must come to an end, and the Krig 6’s reign as the best assault weapon in the game has come to an end. The weapon’s damage output was nerfed in the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded update, which also increased the time to kill across all ranges. One week following the Season 5 Reloaded update, the Krig 6 received another nerf, obliterating the weapon’s recoil control. But it can still be a viable weapon with the right loadout.
- Muzzle = Agency Suppressor
- Barrel = 15″ CMV Mil-Spec
- Optic = Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel = Field Agent Grip
- Magazine = 45 Rnd
3. FARA 83
Another iconic fully automatic Assault Rifle from Black Ops Cold War has a high fire rate but is slower than the Krig or AK-47 in terms of mobility. Since Season 4, the FARA 83 has been in a good situation, combining ease of usage with tremendous damage output. The assault rifle’s damage has been reduced in the most recent update following the Season 5 Reloaded adjustments, but the damage multipliers for the head, neck and upper torso have increased. Check out our ideal FARA 83 loadout if you’re searching for a great assault rifle to pick off adversaries from mid to long-range.
- Muzzle = Gru Suppressor
- Barrel = 20″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
- Optic = Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel = Spetsnaz Grip
- Magazine = 45 Rnd
4. XM4
Since its introduction in Season 1 with the Cold War integration, the XM4 hasn’t been a part of the Warzone meta. Since then, the developers have worked to improve underutilised weaponry. The XM4 has become one of the most flexible weapons in the game after receiving some much-needed enhancements. Read through our finest XM4 loadout to learn how to create this great assault rifle.
- Muzzle = Agency Suppressor
- Barrel = 13.7” Extended
- Optic = Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel = Field Agent Grip
- Magazine = STANAG 60 Rnd
5. EM2
The EM2, one of the newer weapons in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, has suffered a few nerfs since its release in Season 5, but it’s still a good pick if you want a high-damage weapon with a sluggish fire rate and slow mobility. Here is the best loadout for this Assault Rifle.
- Muzzle = Agency Suppressor
- Barrel = 25.8″ Task Force
- Optic = Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel = Field Agent Grip
- Magazine = 40 Rnd
6. M4A1
In multiplayer, this Warzone assault weapon is a beast. With a few attachments, recoil can be reduced to almost zero, the iron sights are so good that you don’t need an optic, you can put a 60-round magazine on it, and top it off with a monolithic suppressor to stay below the radar. High rate of fire, good damage profile, and the simplest recoil control ever.
- Muzzle = Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel = Stock M16 Grenadier
- Optic = Commando Foregrip
- Underbarrel = 60 Round Mags
- Magazine = Stippled Grip Tape
7. QBZ 83
The QBZ-83 is a good middle-ground weapon because it has good mobility and fire rate, as well as moderate damage output, but it isn’t as powerful as the EM2. The QBZ was once regarded as one of Warzone’s worst Assault Rifles, however, that was no longer the case. Its minimum damage was raised, and its torso damage multipliers elevated it to the most underappreciated weapon in the game.
- Muzzle = Agency Suppressor
- Barrel = 15.5″ Task Force
- Optic = Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel = Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition = STANAG 60 Rnd Drum
8. GRAU 5.56
Since the Cold War weapons were launched, the Grau 5.56 hasn’t been a popular choice, but every one of the popular assault rifles has been nerfed in some way. With nearly no recoil, great bullet velocity, and negligible damage dropoff over extended distances, the Grau is a dream to use.
- Muzzle = Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel = Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Underbarrel = Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition = 60 Round Mags
- Optic = Tac Laser
