The year 2021 is basically over, and fans have gathered to get firsthand information on all of the games that will be released in the following year. PUBG New State, Battlegrounds Mobile India, Free Fire MAX, and Pokemon Unite were among the widely anticipated mobile games released in 2021. Most of these games became quite popular within a few days of their release, but if you’re a true gamer, you won’t be content until you’ve tried out each new game.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Criss, Diablo Immortal, and DC Heroes & Villains are just a few of the notable new mobile games coming out in 2022. That’s not even taking into account the new mobile versions of various games in the works. Here is a list of all the new mobile Games we are excited about in 2022.
Best New Mobile Games releasing in 2022
1. DC Heroes and Villains
In a first for this grim universe, DC Heroes & Villains aims to combine match-three puzzle gameplay with RPG elements. Of course, being the third wheel in Joker and Harley’s relationship and the fact that this is a DC game excites me. You don’t have to be the hero, which gets me nicely to the major reason for my excitement. Instead, you can play the role of a villain, which, let’s face it, is a lot more fun. Although no official release date for DC Heroes & Villains has been given, Ludia predicts the game will be released in early 2022.
2. Diablo Immortal
Blizzard Entertainment, in collaboration with NetEase, has opted to develop a mobile version of Diablo based on the Diablo II and III series. The role-playing game will be set in a dark fantasy setting, and players will be able to create one or more characters and earn experience points as their characters grow. In the first half of 2022, the game will be launched.
3. Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a single-player role-playing game that spans the entire Final Fantasy VII saga. Ever Crisis is a free-to-play game with gacha mechanics that unlock special weaponry and clothing sets, according to Tetsuya Nomura. Aside from that, the game features unique dungeons to explore and battles to participate in that go beyond the original Final Fantasy VII.
4. Tomb Raider Reloaded
Any lover of Lara Croft will want to play Tomb Raider Reloaded. The game belongs to the arcade-action genre and promises to transport you back in time. Of course, the game contains everything you’d expect from Tomb Raider, like puzzles, artefacts, tombs, and weapons. There is no specific release date yet, but we do know that it will be released in early 2022 and that Square Enix Mobile London will be working on it.
5. Apex Legends Mobile
Apex Legends, another battle royale shooter, is one of the top upcoming mobile games for 2022. Respawn Entertainment created the game, which was launched in 2019 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. The game’s mobile version has already entered beta testing and is anticipated to be completely published in 2022.
6. Valorant Mobile
The launch of Valorant Mobile is eagerly anticipated by players. The FPS game, which was first released on PC by Riot Games in 2020, was an instant hit, and fans went ballistic when Riot announced, after celebrating Valorant’s first year anniversary, that it would be released on mobile devices as well. Players must defend or attack their opponents after assuming the role of any agent. The game will be released around the middle of 2022.
7. Pokemon Sleep
Pokemon Sleep was first revealed in May 2019, but there has been little news since then. New Pokemon games are always exciting to play, and this one takes a unique approach to catching them all instead of actively exploring to catch them all. Pokemon Sleep is a game that tracks your sleeping patterns and turns them into amusement. It’s unclear how this will work, but Pokemon Go succeeded in turning walking into entertainment, so who knows. Stay tuned for more information on this one in 2022.
8. Dauntless
Dauntless is a free-to-play co-op action role-playing game for PC. PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The smartphone version of the game is now in the early concept phase, according to developer Phoenix Labs, although no specific release date has been set. You play as a Slayer in Dauntless, and your job is to hunt down monsters known as behemoths. You can hunt alone or with three other Slayers, and for each monster you kill, you’ll receive Crafting materials, which you can use to create weapons to take on scarier monsters.
9. Path of Exile Mobile
Grinding Gear Games announced in November 2019 that its popular free-to-play action RPG Path of Exile would be coming to mobile devices. The game will be free of “bullshit trends” like microtransactions and pay-to-win aspects, according to the developers. The mobile version, which is being developed by the same team that worked on the console versions, will be the original game, adapted for smartphone screens and shorter gaming sessions, according to the developers. Unfortunately, there is no information on when Path of Exile Mobile will be released.
10. Project Odin
Project Odin, which was first unveiled in August, is the creation of Lionheart Studios, a new development studio based in South Korea. Project Odin, the studio’s first and most ambitious game, has been hailed as the “first mobile game to use 3D scan and motion capture for realistic and immersive play.” The game teaser is based on Norse mythology and reminds us a lot of the classic game Shadow of the Colossus. Although it is an MMORPG for mobile devices, the game resembles nothing less than an “ultra-realistic” AAA console game. It was originally slated to launch this year in South Korea.
