Here is our list of the Best Polearm Users in Genshin Impact. Find out the best DPS and Support characters that use the polearm in Genshin!
Genshin Impact includes a wide range of weapon types, each with its own unique playstyle. The Bow, Catalyst, Claymore, Polearm, and One-Handed Sword are among the five weapon categories available. Though there are times when some types feel uneven and have more or fewer characters than others, everything eventually balances out. With a few exceptions, most weapon-and-element combinations have already been done as of early 2022, providing a plethora of interesting and enjoyable options for both free-to-play and larger spenders.
The polearm category in Genshin Impact shines because it contains both S-tier supports and several of the game’s most powerful DPS powerhouses. Whatever players are seeking for in their team compositions, Genshin’s polearm users are likely to have something that will meet their needs.
Zhongli
After players complained that Zhongli wasn’t as powerful as he should be, he received a huge buff to his powers, and he reappeared in the 1.3 release with a completely revamped kit. The new Zhongli was not only significantly stronger, but he also soon established himself as Genshin Impact’s greatest Shield Support. He’s remained on his throne thus far, delivering an unrivaled shield in terms of longevity and utility, massive AOE Geo Damage, exploration bonuses, and a debuff to enemy resistances.
Raiden Shogun
Of course, the Electro Archon wields the Electro element. Her Elemental Burst, if built properly, will do massive damage for seven seconds. Her Excellency’s Burst also allows her to create energy for all members of her party who are in close proximity. Raiden also has one of the most impressive Electro applications. Her Elemental Skill is the star of the show in this situation. Electro is the weakest element, but Raiden is excellent support and Sub-DPS.
Hu Tao
Hu Tao, without a doubt, is a fantastic DPS in Genshin Impact. Hu Tao’s best potential, like Xiao’s, is tied to a specific squad makeup. The Funeral Parlor Director, on the other hand, is a Pyro character, the best element at the moment, therefore she easily outclasses Xiao.
Hu Tao can inflict Pyro damage while converting her HP to attack thanks to her Elemental Skill. She also has the game’s highest base HP, making it easy for players to increase her HP. Unfortunately, Hu Tao still has several flaws that can be exploited by Genshin Impact’s top Polearm user.
Xiangling
Xiangling is a Pyro character that is given away for free when Floor 3-3 of the Spiral Abyss is completed, which is fitting given her role as a cornerstone in many Abyss team configurations. She possesses some of the fastest attacks in the game, which gives her a lot of mobility and makes combinations easy for her. Her Burst is her true strength, making her one of Genshin’s greatest Pyro characters for triggering strong off-field reactions.
Xiao
Xiao is not only one of the best characters in Genshin Impact, but he is also a fantastic Anemo DPS, with the highest base attack in the game and a versatile and unique playstyle. His dash attack gives him some of the strongest mobility in the game, allowing him to close in on enemies, dodge at high speeds, chain plunge attacks from the ground, and use it as an air-dash or for faster climbing in exploration. His dash flexibility, combined with his base speed, allows him to perform simple combos and maintain outstanding crowd control.
Shenhe
Shenhe is a Polearm-wielding support character that debuted in Genshin Impact 2.4. Unfortunately, while being a premium unit, Shenhe does not provide enough to merit a better ranking. She’s a one-of-a-kind character who can only be used in mono-Cryo compositions. Her buff can result in a great number of people, but it’s far too limited to be useful. Of course, the majority of her potential is restricted by her constellations. If players can collect six copies of Shenhe, she can be the best Cryo support in the game.
Yun Jin
Yun Jin is a niche character, but she’s such a strong buffer for other Geo troops that it’s pretty hard to miss her. Yun Jin is the best damage buffer they could ask for when combined with other recent Geo releases like Itto and Gorou, which all synergize so effectively with one another. Yun Jin is a four-star support as well, and she usually only has to be leveled to 80. This is in comparison to the resource drain that Main DPS troops require to reach Level 90, unless Genshin Impact gamers develop a strong attachment to her and desire to use crowns to maximize her abilities.
Rosaria
Rosaria originally debuted in a version 1.2 event, where she was revealed to be observing Dragonspine and was intrigued by the Traveler. She is a cryo four-star who appeared in Tartaglia’s banner rerun and is a member of Mondstadt’s church. Her elemental ability lets her to teleport behind a target and then strike them with a devastating attack from below, albeit this isn’t effective against large opponents like Ruin Guards. Her burst allows her to launch an AoE cryo strike as well as drop a cryo lance on the field that pulses out cryo damage every now and then.
Thoma
Thoma, like many other Polearm units, is a support unit. His moveset is centered on granting the team shields. So far, Thoma and Zhongli are the only characters who can maintain 100% shield uptime; nevertheless, his shield isn’t even close to the Geo Archon’s. Thoma is, after all, a 4-star rarity. Players must provide him with enough Energy Recharge to keep his Elemental Burst active.
