With the new 5-star Cryo character Shenhe in the game, our guide will help you select the best team builds for her.
Shenhe was just added to the Genshin Impact roster as the newest in a long series of Cryo characters, with outstanding support abilities and graceful Polearm abilities. Shenhe has a lot of potential, but unlike other “one-size-fits-all” supports like Bennett and Xingqiu, she needs specialized teams that are adapted to her distinct playstyle.
Shenhe’s Icy Quill mechanic is to blame for her niche playstyle. She will generate either five or seven Icy Quills for each party member whenever she uses her Skill – Spring Spirit Summoning – depending on whether the skill was used as tap mode or hold mode. Characters’ attacks will be buffed according to Shenhe’s ATK stat, but only if the attacks cause Cryo damage. As a result, her teams stand apart from a lot of other combinations.
Shenhe’s abilities can buff any type of attack, but she helps Physical and Cryo attacks in particular by increasing their damage and lowering their resistance against foes. She’s a buffer, debuffer, and battery all rolled into one. Shenhe is only as good as the character you use her with, so some newcomers to the game may find it difficult to utilize her.
When playing Genshin Impact, not only does your primary character matter but so does the composition. You should study how elements interact with one another and put together the best squad for your main character. The optimum team composition for Shenhe with Main DPS, Sub DPS, and Support characters is shown below. We’ve also included other characters for each role who are compatible with Shenhe.
Shenhe is an excellent partner for Ganyu because she can improve her damage and activate Cryo resonance. So that Ganyu’s charged attacks and elemental burst can deal a lot of Cryo damage. With control and more reflexes distributed, Kazuha will be a good sub-DPS. Bennett will heal, enhance damage, and activate melt reaction while he is healing.
Substitute Characters – Kamisato Ayaka, Kaeya, Sucrose, Xiangling
Shenhe can use her Skill and Burst to apply Icy Quills to the entire party, lowering foes’ Cryo and Physical Resistance while simultaneously increasing the active character’s Cryo damage. With his Skill and Burst, Kazuha can Swirl Shenhe’s Cryo, further decreasing foes’ Cryo Resistance.
Each of the 5 Icy Paws made by Diona’s Skill will proc an Icy Quill, delivering your character the full advantage of Shenhe while also providing a shield. You can utilize Ayaka however you like, but if you want to speed up your rotations, simply use her Skill and then her Burst.
Substitute Characters – Kaeya, Chongyun, Ganyu, Eula, Venti, Sucrose
The basis of this squad is Eula’s Elemental Burst, which is amplified by Superconduct, Raiden Shogun’s Elemental Skill’s DMG Bonus, and Zhongli’s Set Bonus of Tenacity of the Millelith. Raiden Shogun is the team’s Sub DPS/Support. Raiden Shogun gives an Electro attachment for activating Superconduct to increase Eula’s Elemental Burst DMG, as well as dealing DMG on the field when Eula is cooldown.
Ganyu gains an ATK bonus from Shenhe, and foes’ Physical and Cryo RES are reduced. By using the whole set of Tenacity of the Millelith, Zhongli’s shield creates a safe environment for team members while also increasing the ATK of the entire team.
Substitute characters – Kamisato Ayaka, Kaeya, Beidou, Noelle
This was our Shenhe Best Team Build guide. Players can use one of these teams if they were lucky enough to get Shenhe from the event banner. Genshin Impact is available on iOS, Android, PC and PS4.
