Check out our list of the Best Weapons in Bloodborne. We have ranked the weapons based on their overall perks and strength in the game.
Bloodborne is an action role-playing game with themes similar to those found in the Souls series of games, particularly Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls. It is played from a third-person perspective. The player travels around the decrepit Gothic world of Yharnam, facing a variety of enemies, including bosses, gathering various types of items with several uses, interacting with non-player characters, unlocking shortcuts, and progressing through the main plot.
At any given time, the player can only use two melee weapons and two secondary weapons. Most melee weapons, known as Trick Weapons, can morph into a new state, each of which encourages a distinct combat strategy. Most Trick Weapons have two states: one is a slower, larger weapon that deals more damage per hit, while the other is a smaller, faster weapon that deals damage in hit streaks.
A firearm, generally a pistol, is the player’s main secondary weapon, can be used as a standard weapon as well as a tool to stun enemies. When an enemy is stunned, the player can use a Visceral attack to deal a high amount of damage in one blow. Visceral assaults can also be used after a charged attack hits an enemy from behind.
A torch, cannon, and wooden shield are among the secondary weapons, while a hammer, sword, two-handed pistol that can be used as a melee and ranged weapon, and a whip are among the main melee weapons. Other offensive weapons, such as Molotov cocktails, throwing knives, and pebbles, are available to the player. Here is our list of the Best Weapons n Bloodborne. Best Weapons in Bloodborne Ranked
Simon’s Bow Blade
It starts out as a conventional powerful curved blade, but when the player levels up their Bloodtinge, it turns into a bow that can deal massive damage. It can annihilate a large number of enemies from a position of relative safety, but it is hampered by its slowness of use and awkward aim. As a result, Simon’s Bowblade is one of Bloodborne’s greatest ranged weapons.
How To Obtain this Weapon
Can be found near the Lighthouse Hut lantern in the Fishing Hamlet on the body of Simon the Harrowed. Players can potentially murder Simon the Harrowed in The Hunter’s Nightmare or the Research Hall to obtain his weapon.
Church Pick
On the surface, the Church Pick doesn’t stick out as one of the better weapons in the game, from a gigantic sword to a battle pick. Its altered form causes amazingly little damage, a rarity among Trick Weapons. The Church Pick’s altered state, on the other hand, lets the user o utilize incredibly reliable stunlocks.
How To Obtain this Weapon
In The Hunter’s Nightmare, the hunter wearing the Yahar’Gul gear drops the Church Pick.
Burial Blade
The Burial Blade, Gehrman’s personal weapon, is certainly one of the best Trick Weapons in Bloodborne. The Burial Blade, half scythe, half sword, is aesthetically pleasing if nothing else. However, as the weapon of the game’s final boss, the Burial Blade comes with its own set of advantages.
How To Obtain this Weapon
After defeating Gehrman, the First Hunter, and obtaining the Old Hunter Badge, it can be purchased from messengers for 60,000 Blood Echoes.
Kos Parasite
The Kos Parasite may not deal as much damage as it should, but it has incredible stagger potential. It is possible to chip enemies to death with the right strategy. This isn’t even taking into account the fact that the Kos Parasite is a lot of fun to use. It may be slow, but it has a fantastic move set and a fantastic design.
How To Obtain this Weapon
Dropped by the Orphan of Kos when they are defeated
Blade of Mercy
This short sword and dual blade combo is wielded with finesse and skill by the Hunter of Hunters, and if the player can achieve the same, they will be rewarded generously. The Blade of Mercy suits the game’s elusive combat style by boosting damage from quickstep attacks and allows the player to avoid foes’ attacks while piling on the pressure. It also has modest damage for each hit.
How To Obtain this Weapon
After obtaining the Crow Hunter Badge (completing Eileen the Crow’s questline), it can be purchased from messengers for 40, 000 Blood Echoes. The Crow Hunter Badge can also be obtained by killing Eileen the Crow.
Rakuyo
The Rakuyo is a better version of the Chikage in many ways. It removes the Chikage’s personal restrictions and utilizes a move set that is similar to that of the weapon. However, the Rakuyo is not a carbon copy of the Chikage, and it has its own set of strengths and limitations to balance things out.
How To Obtain this Weapon
After killing one of the two Shark Giant monsters at the bottom of a well in the Fishing Hamlet, Rakuyo is dropped.
Holy Moonlight Sword
It’s fast, hits hard, has a fantastic move set, and significantly alters the feel of Bloodborne’s gameplay loop. One of the greatest Bloodborne weapons for mixed Arcane builds is the Holy Moonlight Sword. The Holy Moonlight Sword scales equally with Strength and Dexterity, making it an excellent Melee/Arcane combination weapon.
How To Obtain this Weapon
Found in the Underground Corpse Pile after defeating Ludwig, the Holy Blade
Hunter Axe
Although the Hunter’s Axe is a starting weapon, it is not just the finest of the lot, but it is also one of the best weapons in Bloodborne. There’s no reason not to use the Hunter Axe because it has perfect availability, outstanding scaling, amazing range, and is helpful both in trick mode and otherwise. It’s also one of the most powerful weapons in the game in terms of sheer damage.
How To Obtain this Weapon
Players can choose it as a starting weapon when beginning a new game. Or after obtaining the Saw Hunter Badge by defeating a gigantic pig in Yharnam, it can be purchased via messengers.
Whirligig Saw
The Whirligig Saw is one of the game’s most basic, violent, and terrifying weapons. There’s no doubting that this is one of the best Strength-based weapons in Bloodborne. It’s part mace, part savage, flesh-rending saw.
How To Obtain this Weapon
It is located on a small incline on the path surrounding the Nightmare Church
Ludwig’s Holy Blade
Ludwig’s Holy Blade outperforms the Hunter Axe in every way. Ludwig’s Holy Blade may not have the same range as the Hunter Axe at its best, but it is faster. It has the ability to rip enemies apart with little effort. Its move set is also dependable, chaining together into a difficult to avoid combo. As a result, Ludwig’s Holy Blade is the greatest weapon for most players in Bloodborne.
How To Obtain this Weapon
After obtaining the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge from a chest in the Healing Church Workshop, it can be purchased from messengers for 20,000 Blood Echoes.
