The best weapons in Horizon Forbidden West are a variety of legendary weapons that you can collect during the course of the game. They’re not just the most powerful, but they also come with three different Horizon Forbidden West ammo types to choose from. That means you can have even more ammo types at your disposal in a single battle when you’re armed with a variety of legendary weapons, without needing to switch out weapons from your inventory.

When you’re being targeted by multiple machines at once, this feature comes in handy. It’s important to remember that these are all the weapons, however, defeating the Enduring can increase the damage inflicted by Aloy’s spear.

Horizon Forbidden West Best Weapons

You’ll come across a variety of weaponry in Horizon Forbidden West, some of which are far more powerful than others. Legendary weapons, which have an orange background in your weapon inventory and have exceptional stats, will be the best of these.

The Sun Scourge

The Sun Scourge is a superb hunter bow that can shoot ice, poison, and fire-type arrows and has a high damage output. To get this weapon, you must first clear out all of the rebel camps, which will then lead to a side quest to take on the final camp. Once you’ve completed that mission, you’ll be rewarded with the Sun Scourge.

The Skykiller

The Sun Scourge is the deadliest Warrior bow. It’s a powerful mid-range bow with five coil slots that can shoot fire, freeze, and acid ammo. Completing the First Forge side quest unlocks it. Furthermore, when upgraded, it improves reload speed, overdraw damage, agility damage, and aerial damage.

Death-Seeker’s Shadow

The Sun Scourge is a general-purpose bow, whereas Death-Shadow Seeker’s is more specific. The piercing and shock arrows are the highlight of this hunter bow. This weapon can only be obtained through competing in the arena and hunting fields for medals. Simply collect as many medals as you can and hand them over to the merchant at the arena’s entrance for Death-Shadow’s Seeker bow

Forgefall

This is the top-tier plasma weapon, designed to chain plasma damage before shifting to the third armor-piercing bullet type for maximum damage. It’s a little slow to shoot, but it’s a powerful weapon. Forgefall is a high-damage weapon that can be obtained by trading in a substantial quantity of Arena medals. The bow has also received significant enhancements, making it one of the best weapons in Horizon Forbidden West.

Ancestor’s Return

This is really useful if you’re a pro at chaining Shredder Gauntlet ammo, which occurs when you catch your returning shredder and then attack with it three times in a row. It has poison, electric, and armor-piercing shredders, making it ideal for shredding the health of a variety of robotic machines.

Tinkerer’s Pride

The Tinker’s Pride is one of the best weapons in Horizon Forbidden West, with three varieties of explosive wire and the ability to deliver considerably more damage and stun larger adversaries thanks to a variety of Tripcaster upgrades. This is the ultimate tripcaster, capable of laying traps with a variety of effects such as armor-piercing and explosives. If you have time to plan your attack ahead of time, this is really useful.
