Beth Phoenix Career
Beth Phoenix started her amateur wrestling career in High school and was trained by the All Knights. In 2004 she started working for Ohio Valley Wrestling and signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2005.
She made her main roster debut in 2006. But her debut didn’t go as planned as she would have liked as she suffered from a broken jaw, which resulted in numerous surgeries.
Beth made a fierce comeback from the injuries and returned to Raw in July 2007 and won her first WWE Women’s Championship at No Mercy. She used to dominate other WWE Divas and gained the nickname of “The Glamazon.”
In just two years, Phoenix went on to win the WWE Women’s Championship two more times.
The Firebird created history in the 2010 Royal Rumble Match as she became the only woman to participate in both men’s and women’s Royal Rumble.
Phoenix won the WWE Divas Championship for the first time in 2012. After some time, Phoenix retired from WWE due to creative frustrations with the treatment of women in WWE.
She focused on her family life with her boyfriend and later husband Adam Copeland aka, Edge.
