Predicted 4-1-4-1 Leeds United XI to face Sheffield United in the Championship
Leeds United claimed all three points with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Reading at home on Wednesday night, thanks to Stuart Dallas’ first goal of the season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men climbed to 2nd in the Championship standings with that win, just a point behind table-toppers Norwich City.
The Peacocks face a tough test when they make the trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United on Saturday.
Sheffield have been in good form this season and currently sit 5th in the standings, just two points behind Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
With both teams pushing for a promotion this season, one can expect a thrilling end-to-end encounter on Saturday.
Team News
Leeds will be without the services of Partick Bamford and Luke Ayling both of whom are long-term absentees due to injuries while Gaetano Berardi and Tom Pearce are unlikely to make it to the matchday squad for Saturday. Pontus Jansson did not feature in the game against Reading and is yet to regain fitness.
Formation: 4-1-4-1
Manager: Marcelo Bielsa
Predicted XI
1. Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)
The Northern Irishman pulled off a brilliant save from the penalty spot to protect Leeds’ lead in the last game and silenced his critics in an emphatic manner.
2. Barry Douglas (LB)
Looked good with his crossing in the last game but gave away a penalty with a poor tackle and Leeds will not be expecting him to come up with something similar on Saturday.
3. Liam Cooper (CB)
Marshalled his troops very well at the back in the last game and put in some crucial challenges.
4. Kalvin Phillips (CB)
He played as a centre-back in the last game and will be expected to continue in the heart of the defence after an impressive performance.
5. Stuart Dallas (RB)
Put in a good shift at the back and will be in high spirits after scoring his first goal of the season.
6. Adam Forshaw (CDM)
He had a decent game against Reading and played his part quite well but he will be expected to contribute a bit more to the attack on Saturday.
7. Samuel Saiz (RCM)
Lewis Baker had a horrible outing on Wednesday which might prompt Bielsa to hand the Spaniard a start against Sheffield United.
8. Mateusz Klich (LCM)
The Polish international wasn’t at the top of his game last time and will be expected to put up a better show on Saturday.
9. Pablo Hernandez (RW)
The Spaniard is one of the key components of Leeds’ attack and Bielsa should continue to rely on him to deliver the goods.

He was very impressive with his link-up play in the last game and he will need to rise to the occasion once again on Saturday.
