“Biggest comeback of his whole career”, “Caveman Time” – Twitter split over Lewis Hamilton’s new hairstyle ahead of 2020 F1 season

Lewis Hamilton is one of the most stylish sports icons in the world but his new hairstyle didn’t impress all on Twitter

Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton will be aiming to win a record seventh F1 title but his new hairstyle didn’t get everyone on board ahead of the new season.

The 35-year-old has been working out ahead of the 2020 F1 season and recently decided to take a job around Buckingham Palace.

However, Hamilton is never one to shy away from trying something new. He has worked on his hair before and tried braids but didn’t have a great effect on his hair.

The Brit complained that his hair was deteriorating and decided to let it flow out after the end of the last season.

Things seem to be working out for the six-time world champion and his curls are flowing, like the corners of Spa or Silverstone.

This is a remarkable look, given how poor his hair had become last year, and it will be interesting to see if he keeps this hairstyle for the 2020 F1 season.

A few drivers do keep long hairstyles, such as Antonio Giovinazzi, and Hamilton is never shy of trying something different in the paddock.

Twitter isn’t sure of Hamilton’s change

Social media is a bit of a toxic place at times with a lot of flak coming towards stars for minute changes they make in their lifestyle.

Hamilton has been targetted in the past for various reasons but Twitter was split regarding their views on his new hairstyle.

Some were shocked at how well his hair had grown after the braid look while others weren’t sure if this was a great style for him.

It will be interesting to see how things go for Hamilton in the coming weeks though. Preseason testing has started for all the F1 teams, and Mercedes should be one of the favourites for the title this year too.
