Bill Elliott Car Collections

Bill Elliott made his NASCAR debut in the 1975 season for Elliott Racing which was owned by his father. He competed in the event with a #9 Ford vehicle. Bill Elliott drove Ford vehicles like Thunderbird with sponsors Coors Light, McDonald’s, and Budweiser. Elliot also drove Dodge cars like Dodge Intrepid in the early 2000s.

Bill Elliott’s personal car collections were his Ford and Dodge vehicles. He also owned a Ford Taurus 2000 model. Apart from these, Bill Elliott competed in NASCAR with other cars like Mercury, Dodge, and Chevrolet. In the 1988 NASCAR Cup Series, he drove a Ford for Melling Racing and finished first. Bill Elliott Car Accidents

Bill Elliott was involved in numerous car crashes in NASCAR, but he survived every accident with minor injuries. Before the 1989 Daytona 500, Bill Elliott was practicing at a track. He was involved in a crash which damaged his wrist, but the racer didn’t back out of the event. Bill Elliott’s first major accident was in 1996 at Winston Select 500. His car went airborne after high speed and Elliott’s femur was damaged.

In 1998, Bill Elliott was again part of another accident in Talladega at DieHard 500. He was hit by Dale Earnhardt’s car. Bill Elliott’s vehicle hit the wall and he suffered a bruised sternum. Bill Elliott missed a couple of races after the incident. In 2012, Bill Elliott was involved in a small accident at Daytona International Speedway.

In 37 years of NASCAR, Bill Elliott used many numbers for his cars. Elliott’s lucky number was #9 which also helped him win the NASCAR Cup Series in 1988. He also secured first place in the Daytona 500 with the #9 Ford Thunderbird. Bill Elliott won two Southern 500 with #9 Ford Thunderbird and one with #11 Ford.

Bill Elliott drove #94 cars for his own team between 1995-2000. His numbers for Dodge vehicles were #19, #83, and #37. In 2011, he drove #9 and #46 Chevrolet cars.
