Bobby Allison’s lucky NASCAR cars were Chevrolet and Ford. He also drove using #12 and #22 Buicks in the Winston Cup Series. Allison won the 1978 Daytona 500 with his #15 Ford. He competed in the event for the Bud Moore Engineering team and secured prize money of $56,300.
In the 1980s, Bobby Allison used #12 Buick Regal and #88 Buick. He got sponsored by Gatorade and Miller High Life. In the Grand National Series, Bobby Allison drove in different cars for 10 years. He drove #14 and #22 Plymouth for Friedkin Enterprises and Mario Rossi. In the 1975 Daytona 500, he competed for teams Penske Racing and drove #16 AMC Matador. He also suffered a head injury which eventually resulted in memory loss. Many reports revealed Bobby Allison would not survive, but he survived quashing all reports.
