Bobby Fish made his AEW debut earlier this month and went up against Sammy Guevara for the TNT championship. Much to the surprise of the fans, his theme song in AEW also had a past connection to it. Fish walked out to the theme song “Dance Away” which happens to be the same theme song that him and Kyle O’Reilly also used in Ring of Honor.
The pair of Fish and O’Reilly also carried on to the WWE, they were the NXT Tag Team champions as well before Fish was eventually released by the WWE. His theme song certainly brought back some old memories of the pair, however, his debut did not go the way he would’ve wanted it to go. The former WWE star ended up losing his debut match to the AEW TNT champion.
Fish was released by the WWE on August 6th 2021 as a part of the budget cuts that WWE made. He was in the company since 2017 and was one of the biggest names in the NXT brand of WWE. He failed to enter the main roster of WWE before being released by the company.
After being released by the WWE, Fish went on to make appearances for Major League Wrestling as well before signing with AEW and making his debut on October 6th episode of AEW Dynamite. The official announcement of him signing with AEW was made after his match on the show. Fans would look forward to see how the former WWE star does in AEW in the coming days.
