Jake Paul made a staggering $40 million in the ring – 2021
Not many in the world would have had a better 2021 than YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul. Having made his pro-boxing debut in 2020, Paul fought fellow YouTuber AnesonGib and former basketballer Nate Robinson in his first two fights.
Having gone 2-0 up, Paul decided to step up the difficulty level. He faced Ben Askren in 2021 – an MMA champion and an accomplished grappler. ‘The Problem Child’ knocked Askren out in the very first round to go 3-0 up.
His next two fights were against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. In August 2021, Paul and Woodley faced off in a rather drab contest. A narrow split decision win kept Paul’s clean record intact.
He was then scheduled to fight Tommy Fury, a professional boxer. Fury then pulled out due to a rib injury (infection as well). Woodley once again stepped in, agreeing to face off Paul in a rematch.
This time the former Disney star brutally knocked out Woodley. A brilliant end to 2021 for Paul.
Jake Paul made bank in 2021
Jake Paul earned a whopping $40 million in the ring in 2021. The list was recently released by Forbes.
Paul’s massive earnings, saw him return to the YouTuber’s rich list after nearly 4 years.
He came in at number 2. It is worth noting that, Paul earned even more than Mexican boxing champion Canelo Alvarez. Had Paul been included in the athlete’s rich list he would have been closer to the apex.
