Nate Diaz Urges Upcoming Fight Against Jake Paul to Be Moved to Weed-Friendly State in the USA

In what promises to be an electrifying clash between two popular figures, Nate Diaz is scheduled to face Jake Paul in a highly-anticipated professional boxing bout on August 5, 2023, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. However, Diaz’s recent comments have sparked controversy as he urges the fight to be moved to a weed-friendly state.

During a press conference in Texas, Diaz took a playful jab at Paul, highlighting the accusations of his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs. Both fighters are expected to undergo testing by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) as part of their boxing match.

Emphasizing his stance against steroid users, Diaz lightheartedly quipped about the only substance that might be found in his system, saying, “There’s a lot of weed in mine.” However, a journalist pointed out the zero-tolerance policy of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) regarding marijuana use, leading Diaz to suggest fighting in California, where marijuana laws are less stringent.

Diaz’s comments have raised questions about the feasibility of holding the fight in Texas. In response, TDLR officials stated that Diaz would be subject to the same rules as all other combative sports events in the state.

While some US states and regulating bodies have relaxed their marijuana policies, the TDLR maintains a strict threshold of 50 ng/ml THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Any level exceeding this limit is considered a violation, resulting in a 90-day suspension, a $500 fine, and potentially overturning a victory to a no contest (NC).

As fans eagerly await further developments, Diaz’s call for the fight to be relocated to a more weed-friendly state adds an unexpected twist to the upcoming clash between these two prominent figures.

With all that in mind, Nate Diaz has now posted a tweet urging for the fight to be moved to a different state:

“We gonna have to move states.”

Logan Paul Admits Nate Diaz Was “Playing” Him To Get Jake Paul Fight

In a surprising turn of events, YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned-wrestler Logan Paul recently revealed that Nate Diaz had been playing him all along to secure a fight with his brother, Jake Paul. The revelation came during an appearance by both Paul brothers on the Impaulsive podcast, shedding light on the UFC veteran’s strategy.

Logan, still baffled by the announcement, asked Nate Diaz, “How did you get the Nate Diaz fight? Because I thought I had it locked up. I thought for sure I had it locked up, how did you get that fight?” To Logan’s shock, his brother Jake responded with a simple statement: “You never had it locked up.” Logan couldn’t believe it and expressed his frustration, stating, “He told us we did! He was playing me. He was playing me hard.”

Jake Paul then chimed in, offering some insight into the situation. “I told you that. I told you he’s playing both sides. Basically, some of the people he worked with… he doesn’t know what the f*** he’s doing. Like, he does and he doesn’t. But just throwing money at someone doesn’t make them want to do it. At the end of the day, what it came down to, honestly, is that he thought the world would view our fight as way more legitimate than you. Him fighting you, to him, was a money grab because you hadn’t ‘beaten anybody.'”.

Logan Paul has shifted his focus to professional wrestling, leveraging his high school wrestling background. He has signed with WWE and has already appeared in two Wrestlemania matches.

While Logan Paul’s foray into boxing included a highly publicized exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather, where Mayweather clearly outboxed him, it was not declared a winner. Therefore, Nate Diaz’s assertion that Logan Paul hasn’t beaten anyone significant carries some weight.

The upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz on August 5 is eagerly anticipated, especially now that the truth about Nate Diaz’s motives has been unveiled. It seems that the Paul brothers have been caught off guard by Diaz’s strategic maneuvering, adding another layer of intrigue to the world of influencer boxing.
