Tommy Fury wasn’t particularly impressed with the recent rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley
Jake Paul brutally knocked out Tyron Woodley, when the pair met in a rematch on the 18th of December at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Until the knockout, the fight was a no-show. It was mundane enough to wreck Paul’s boxing career. Thanks to Paul’s right hand.
However, things would have been entirely different had Paul’s original opponent Tommy Fury not been injured. Just a couple of weeks before the fight, Fury pulled out citing a rib injury. Woodley, who was in shape and ready, took the fight on short notice.
Fury, recently broke his silence following Paul’s knockout win. While he did give Paul credit for his knockout, he wasn’t particularly pleased with the way the fight went.
He said:
“I’m not discrediting the knockdown. It was a good knockdown, well done on his win. But, apart from that, the fight was pretty painful to watch.”
Tommy Fury is currently 7-0 in his professional boxing career. Having made his debut in December 2018, Fury quickly adapted to the rigours of the sport.
His last win was in the undercard of Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 1. Taking on Anthony Taylor in a 4-round fight, Fury won via. unanimous decision.
Besides this, Fury has an active career in modelling as well.
