Brett Favre’s successful NFL career was ruined by a series of legal issues.

Brett Favre is a retired NFL player who played for multiple teams. Favre was a legendary player of the Green Bay Packers. Favre has won a Super Bowl and he secured the Pro Bowl 11 times. Brett Favre had an incredible professional career, but his personal life has a plethora of legal issues. He was once involved in a sexting scandal with the TV host, Jenn Sterger. Favre was banned from taking alcohol by the NFL management in 1996 because of a violation.

Brett Favre Legal Issues – Drug Addiction

Brett Favre made his debut in the NFL in 1991. Favre was at the top of the game in the 1995/96 season when he was playing for the Green Bay Packers. In 1995, Favre used to take Vicodin, a type of drug that relieves pain and stress. Favre was also addicted to alcohol and he was seen roaming drunk near Bourbon St. These incidents were noticed by the NFL management who banned Favre from drinking alcohol.

Favre also revealed he was addicted to Vicodin after he was inflicted with injuries. Brett Favre used to take two pills every day and his condition was worse. Before the 1996 NFL season, Brett Favre made his way to the rehab center where he got seizures. Favre also completed his ankle surgery before moving to the drug rehab facility.

Brett Favre Sexting Case

Favre retired from the NFL after the 2010 season with the Minnesota Vikings. When Favre played for the New York Jets in the 2008 season, he was into another scandal and this time he was linked in a sexting allegation with a woman who worked for the Jets.

The investigation of the case began in 2010 and reports stated Favre sent explicit images to Jenn Sterger.  She revealed Brett Favre sent her lewd pics and threatened her with voice messages. Though Favre was not proved guilty, he paid a fine of $50,000. Brett Favre’s personal life had many controversies and he was also involved in the Mississippi welfare funds scandal.

Favre is an exquisite footballer who began his journey with the Atlanta Falcons in 1991 before moving to the Green Bay Packers in 1992. Favre played as a quarterback and he started in 321 games between 1992 to 2010 without missing any game. Brett Favre remains the first NFL player to complete 70,000 yards, 10,000 passes, 6,000 completions, 500 touchdowns. He was also the first NFL player to win a match against all 32 teams.

Brett Favre is a legend in the NFL and he played 20 seasons. Favre’s overall salary in the NFL is $141 million and the inflation rate will easily be more than $250 million. Brett Favre retired as one of the highest-paid NFL players in 2010 and he received $16 million in his last season.
