“Dude was a straight up cheat” – Brittney Palmer announcing TJ Dillashaw as podcast guest sees fans slam stars

UFC ring girl Brittney Palmer is part of the Unleashed Podcast and her next guest is TJ Dillashaw

Brittney Palmer recently posted an update on her next guest for the Unleashed Podcast. Palmer, who is a UFC ring girl, is also part of other projects and it makes sense for her to talk about MMA since she is so close to the sport.

Her next guest on the podcast is former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw. The American is a two-time champion but he left the UFC in December 2022 after deciding to retire from the sport.

Palmer posted a message on her Instagram where she claimed that she would be bringing in “one of the most revered martial artists of all time.”

That seemed to set off a section of the MMA community. They weren’t happy with the words used to describe Dillashaw and let Palmer know their feelings.

Many fans scoffed at the “revered” part of the post while others just brought up Dillashaw’s doping history.

One fan even quipped that he would not listen to this podcast even if he was deaf and this was the only way to get his hearing back.

Check out some of their reactions below.

Why was TJ Dillashaw suspended?

Dillashaw fought Henry Cejudo for the Flyweight title in Jan 2019. While he lost the fight to Cejudo in 32 seconds, more problems were to come up for him.

Dillashaw later confirmed he would give up the Bantamweight title after some adverse findings by the USADA before and after the Cejudo fight.

The former champion was ultimately suspended for two years after USADA found that he had been using the banned substance EPO, which was caught during the Cejudo fight.

Dillashaw was able to return in 2021 and faced Cory Sandhagen. He won that bout but lost his next one, which was against Aljamain Sterling for the UFC Bantamweight title.

The 37-year-old’s legacy did get tarnished with the USADA suspension, but there is no doubt he did have some excellent fights in his career.
