Buck Baker Car Collections
Buck Baker won his first NASCAR in 1956 with the Chrysler 300-B. He won 14 races in the 1956 season and secured first place in the Cup series as well. In 1957, Baker won the NASCAR Cup Series with the Chevrolet 150 Black Widow. The two-door Chevrolet Sedan was lucky for Baker as he won his second championship and the car was displayed at the NASCAR Exhibition in Charlotte. Baker owns replicas of his Chevrolet Chrysler in his garage.
Buck Baker also drove Chevrolet Impala and Pontiac vehicles in the early 1950s. Some of Buck Baker’s other race car collections were Oldsmobile Rocket, Plymouth, Lincoln, Cadillac, Buick, and Dodge. In 26 years of NASCAR, Buck Baker suffered car crashes in major events. Baker’s major car accident was in 1959 in the Daytona 500. He lost control while driving and hit the wall. Buck Baker used numerous car numbers during NASCAR. His lucky numbers were #87 and #300. Baker won the 1956 NASCAR cup series with the #300 Chrysler. In 1957, Baker won the race with #87 Chevrolet. Most of Buck Baker’s car numbers ranged between #80 to #89. He also drove the #86 and #87 Chrysler. Buck Baker’s Plymouth car numbers were #41, #42, and #89. Apart from these, Buck Baker drove #3, #11, #13, and #14 cars.

Buck Baker’s Chevrolet #87 was designed in red with paint schemes from Griffin Motors and Air Lift. His Chrysler car had different editions with colors like White, Cream, and Blue. Baker also drove a Black Chevrolet for some seasons.
