Buddy Matthews is All Elite but there was a huge shock regarding which side he teamed up with

Former WWE star Buddy Matthews (Buddy Murphy) became the latest wrestler to join AEW. The Australian was highly-rated but was one of several stars released by the company in recent months.

Matthews seems to have served his non-compete clause and made a shock debut on AEW. It seemed like he was coming out to battle his old rival from WWE Malakai Black.

Black has formed this new House of Black stable and that features Brody King. He seemed to want to do a lot of damage to PAC and Penta.

However, Matthews was there to seemingly stop Black from causing too much damage.

But, that wasn’t Matthews’ plan. He turned on his nature and decided to attack Penta. What was more shocking is that Black was goading Matthews to attack his rivals, and it seems that the Australian is now part of the House of Black.

Buddy Matthews now supporting Malakai Black?

Matthews and Black had a huge rivalry in WWE and the pair put on quite a show during their matches.

The two athletes always tore the roof off any arena they fought. However, it is a bit of a surprise seeing him team up with his rival now.

Matthews is a former Cruiserweight and Tag Champion in WWE, and has all the talent and ability to become a top draw.

It will be interesting to see how this storyline develops, especially with Black creating such an interesting character.

Will Murphy also change his get-up and persona under Black? That can only be answered after a few more episodes of AEW Dynamite.
