This guide will give you all the information about Call of Duty Warzone 2 Raids. Learn about the release date and more details below.
A major update to Modern Warfare 2: Season 1 Reloaded brings not only new operators and weapons but also a new game mode: Raids. It is likely that most of you have heard of Raids.
However, there haven’t been any raids in Call of Duty yet, so Activision appears to be attempting something new. With Season 1 Reloaded, Special Ops Raid is a new co-op mode that players will be able to play with friends in order to complete the mission’s objectives. Let’s learn more about the Call of Duty Warzone 2 Raids below in this article.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 Raids will hit the scene as a part of the Season 1 Reloaded update, which arrives on PC (via Battle.net/Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
The Special Ops missions will include raids. As part of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, they will be based on the events in the game. In the first episode, Atomgrad, Captain Price, Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, and Farah are searching for their missing allies in Urzikstan when they find something “grim” in a bunker underground. Three Operators will attempt to gain intelligence and uncover secrets by infiltrating a highly classified facility heavily guarded.
Raids are only available in Trios; players cannot join a Raid in Solo, Duo, or Quad. Raid completion offers numerous rewards. Atomgrad is a mission in Call of Duty where players can earn several cosmetic items for discovering intel. In addition, Gaz and his Convoy Operator skin can be obtained by completing Atomgrad, according to the official blog.
As opposed to normal Special Ops, players will have to acquire Raid Assignments in order to access this mode. The following section details how players can obtain Raid Assignments. To unlock this Raid Assignment, you must complete either of the following tasks:
Participate in Special Ops or multiplayer to complete a certain Daily Challenge.
Place in the top 20 spots on any playlist for Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale.
Use the last extract helicopter in the DMZ with at least $30,000 in cash.
“Raid Assignments” are granted for a week only to the party who starts the raid. The remaining two players can be invited to the lobby but will not have access to the raid.
For those who complete the Atomgrad Raid successfully, an Operator Skin will be unlocked, along with a higher difficulty level. In addition to the Operator Skin, you will find plenty of intel that unlocks other cosmetic items. These will be stickers, emblems, calling cards and the like. You will also find plenty of intel that unlocks other cosmetic items for the new Season 1 Reloaded Operator Kyle “Gaz” Garrick. Therefore, if you’re serious about unlocking everything, it should be worthwhile to play raids several times.
Kits play an important role in Spec Ops as well, since raids are part of the mode. Players can select from three different Kits, each of which supports a different playstyle:
Assault: There are two tiers of this kit, lower tiers offering more armor and higher tiers offering free stimming and Assault Suits (like a mini-juggernaut).
Medic: A Revive pistol makes it easy to revive long distances instantly. Later tiers feature the Bomb Drone, claymores, and anti-tank mines for free.
Recon: You can use the kit to gather intel and see nearby enemies through a snapshot pulse field. Later tiers offer auto-replenishment, the ability to carry additional gear, and a free heartbeat sensor and spotter scope.
That is everything you needed to know about the Call of Duty Warzone 2 Raids.
