Camilia Giorgi Personal Life
Camila Giorgi was born in Macerata, Italy, to Jewish parents Sergio Giorgi and Claudia Gabriella Fullone. Her parents emigrated to Italy from La Plata. Sergio Giorgi fought in the Falklands War against the British, while her mother is a fashion designer.
Now, Sergio coaches Camila while Claudia designs the dresses the tennis star wears in her matches. Camila’s older brother Leandro is studying to become an actor. Her younger brother Amadeus is a football player while her sister Antonela died in a car accident in Paris.

Camila Giorgi received training from her father who was very strict. She was spotted by tennis coach Nick Bollettieri, who went on to offer her seven months of training.
In November 2005, Giorgi reached the final of the Nike Junior Tour but suffered defeat to Slovakia’s Zuzana Luknarova. She also managed to reach the Sey Development Cup final in the Czech Republic, and the Round of 16 at the Astrid Bowl in Belgium.

After turning pro in 2006, Camila Giorgi began playing the $10k tournaments. She reached the semifinals in Baku and Jakarta. At the end of 2006, she had 10 wins out of 17 matches in her kitty.
Giorgi’s first win in an ITF tournament came in August, in Katowice in 2009. In August 2010, she tried qualifying for a Grand Slam tournament – the US Open but lost in the first round.
