Camila Osorio started the year with a first-round loss to Naomi Osaka at the Australian Open. She made it to the Quarter Finals of her next event, the Guadalajara Open where she eventually lost to Anna Kalinskaya. Osorio put up a strong display at the Monterrey Open defeating Magdalena French and Marcela Zakarias in the first two rounds. Osorio then caused a major upset against top seed Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina to reach the semi-finals.
