Chelsea eased past Huddersfield on Saturday as goals from Eden Hazard, Gonzalo Higuain, and David Luiz secured a 5-0 victory for the Blues. Maurizio Sarri’s men are in the fight for a top-four finish and a loss against champions Manchester City could potentially drop them down to sixth place.
The Blues have won just two out of their last five games in the league, which included an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
Chelsea won the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge 2-0 thanks to goals from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz. City will look for revenge as they try to catch league leaders Liverpool.

Luiz has just missed one game in the league so far and is expected to start on the left side of the defence. The Brazilian has scored two goals and has provided two assists.
Alonso, like the rest of the backline, has been ever-present in Sarri’s eleven and has started 24 times this campaign. He is also in line to start on Sunday.
The former Napoli man followed Sarri to Chelsea and has since been the most important player in the Italian’s system. Chelsea’s transition from defence to attack is mostly dependent on him being the pivot in midfield. He generally starts every game in the league.
Kante has been converted into a box-to-box midfielder and his late runs in the box to finish off Chelsea’s moves makes him a very dangerous player.
The 25-year-old could be handed his ninth start of the season by Sarri on Sunday. In his previous appearances for Chelsea this season, the former Everton star has scored three goals and assisted four.
Hazard has been on fire for Chelsea this season. The Belgian has scored and assisted a combined of 22 goals this season and is a nightmare for his opposition.
With three goals and five assists this season, Willian is expected to start on the right for the Blues. His skills, pace and trickery combined with a brilliant right foot will cause problems to any defence.
On loan from Juventus, the Argentine forward opened his Chelsea account in style with two outstanding goals against Huddersfield. Higuain’s runs and positioning inside the box coupled with his clinical finishing makes him a devastating forward.
