Predicted Tottenham Hotspur line-up to face West Ham in the Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur haven’t been in good form in the Champions League this season but have certainly made a strong start to their Premier League campaign. The Lilywhites are currently placed 5th in the standings with 6 wins in eight games.
Spurs bagged all three points with a 1-0 win over Cardiff City before the international break and they will be hoping to continue their fine run in the Premier League when they make the trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham on Saturday.
West Ham turned their fortunes around with victories over Everton and Manchester United but suffered another setback with a 1-0 loss to Brighton in their previous outing. The Hammers will be looking to get their campaign back on track and build some momentum with a positive result against Tottenham at home.
Team News
Victor Wanyama suffered a thigh injury during the international break but is expected to be fit for the weekend. Jan Vertonghen is ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
Dele Alli and Danny Rose are not fit and will miss this game. Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele are back and available for selection.
Probable Tottenham Hotspur XI
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Manager: Mauricio Pochettino
Hugo Lloris (GK)
He hasn’t been in good form after making his return from injury but Pochettino will be expecting him to step up his game on Saturday.
Kieran Trippier (RB)
He has been a standout performer for the Lilywhites and put in some solid performances for England. He is one of the first names on Pochettino’s teamsheet.
Toby Alderweireld (CB)
The Belgian has looked quite solid at the back in the Premier League and will have his work cut out against the Hammers.
Davinson Sanchez (CB)
He was pathetic at the back against Barcelona but put in a much-improved performance against Cardiff. He is likely to start in Vertonghen’s absence.
Ben Davies (LB)
Danny Rose might not make it to the starting line-up due to a groin problem which should open the door for Davies to get a start.
Eric Dier (CDM)
He performed like a beast for England against Spain and absolutely dominated the opposition. Pochettino should hand him a start to combat Declan Rice in the midfield.
Harry Winks (CDM)
The youngster put in a calm and composed performance in central midfield against Spain and should start against West Ham.
Lucas Moura (RW)
The Brazilian just seems to have faded away after a brilliant start to the season but will play a key role for the team at the weekend.
Heung-Min Son (LW)
The Korean has put in the hard yards and has been a lively presence in the final third. However, his end product hasn’t been great and Pochettino will hope that it improves.
Christian Eriksen (CAM)
Eriksen is back available and there’s no way Pochettino would bench him. He’d be a crucial figure for Spurs as usual.

Harry Kane (ST)
England’s golden boy was on song against Spain as he set up two goals for his teammates and Pochettino will be hoping that he does the same for his club.
