Osman signed a youth team contract with Anadolu Efes after impressing at KK Bosna. He was a member of the junior, star, and youth teams at Anadolu Efes. He was loaned to Pertevniyal of the Turkish Basketball First League, Anadolu Efes’ farm team for the 2011-12 season. In the summer of 2012, Osman signed a professional contract with the senior team of Anadolu Efes.
On June 25, 2015, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Osman with the 31st overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. His draught rights were then traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers that same night, along with Rakeem Christmas’ and a future draft pick, in exchange for Tyus Jones’ draft rights.
Osman extended his contract with the Cavaliers on October 26, 2019.
