Brooks Briscoe, the young son of NASCAR driver Chase Briscoe, lit up the post-race press conference with a charming and spontaneous display following his father’s recent Southern 500 victory at Darlington Raceway. As father Chase answered questions about his race and the playoff implications of his win, Brooks delighted the room by grabbing the microphone and joyfully exclaiming, “Start your engines,” endearing himself to the assembled media and fans alike.

Chase Briscoe had just captured his second consecutive Southern 500, leading an impressive 309 of 367 laps and solidifying his place in the next round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

Chase Briscoe’s son Brooks had a moment he will never ever forget

This win was especially meaningful for Briscoe and his family, as it not only advanced him to the Round of 12 but also allowed for a much more joyous celebration than the previous year. In a heartfelt scene, Chase described lifting Brooks onto the hood of his No. 19 Toyota Camry in Victory Lane and letting him wave the checkered flag.

During the press conference, Brooks enthusiastically shared comments about the race, including how fast the pit crew was and expressing excitement for his dad’s big win. The moment was a stark contrast to the previous year, when Brooks missed out on the post-race festivities due to an accidental mishap.

This time, Brooks remained front and center, participating in the victory, riding along with his dad in the car, and even charming the media with his unscripted proclamation to “start your engines.”
