About Christine Lagarde
Christine did her law school at Paris Nanterre University and also obtained a master of law from the Sciences Po Aix College. Upon graduating, she joined Baker & McKenzie in 1981 for the associate post. She was specializing in labor and anti-trust. She worked hard and raised her ranks step-by-step and became an executive committee of the firm between 1999 and 2004. After working for a period of time, she decided to go into public service.
In the public service department, she was first appointed as Minister of Foreign Trade in 2007 and was transferred to the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries from May to June 2007. Upon entering as the President, she took an oath to maintain the accommodative monetary policy of her predecessor, Mario Draghi.
