Christopher Eubanks was born on 5th May, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia to Chris Eubanks Sr. (father) and Carla Eubanks (mother). His father, Chris Eubanks Sr. played college basketball at North Carolina State University and later went on to play professionally in Europe.
Carla Eubanks, Christopher’s mother, has been supportive of his tennis career from an early age. In addition to his parents, Christopher Eubanks has a brother named Mark, who has also been supportive of his tennis pursuits. His family has played an important role in his development as a tennis player, providing encouragement and support throughout his career.
Eubanks’ father coached him until he was 13 before the teenager became friends with American professional Tennis player Donald Young and started training with him. As a child, Eubanks trained at the South Fulton Tennis Center, which was owned by Young’s parents. He received all the support from the academy and with his parents backing him all the way, Eubanks had a smooth transition from the junior level to the professional circuit.
How has Christopher Eubanks’ career been so far?
Christopher Eubanks began playing tennis at a young age and quickly showed promise. In 2014, Eubanks won the USTA Boys’ 18s National Championship, earning him a wildcard entry into the US Open main draw later that year. After his junior year at Georgia Tech, Eubanks decided to turn professional in 2017.
He primarily competed on the ITF Futures and ATP Challenger circuits, gradually climbing up the rankings. In 2018, he won his first Challenger title in Tallahassee, Florida, which helped him break into the top 200 of the ATP rankings for the first time.
Eubanks made his Grand Slam debut at the 2017 US Open, where he received a wildcard entry into the main draw. Eubanks has won 1 ATP Tour title in his professional career till date and that has come in singles. He achieved his career-best ranking of No.43 in men’s singles in 2023 and currently occupies the same spot. He is not much active in the doubles and is currently ranked No.287. Eubanks is improving by leaps and bounds and he certainly has the potential to make it big.
