Emma Raducanu and Jessica Pegula will lock horns in what promises to be an intriguing contest in the round of 16 of the ongoing Cincinnati Masters.

The American tennis pro has had an impressive season so far. She hasn’t won a title as yet in 2022 but she did make it to the final at the Madrid Open. At the Canadian Open, she had a solid run to the semi-final stage before she was ousted by eventual champion Simona Halep.
The 28-year-old began her campaign in Ohio with a hard-fought victory against Marta Kostyuk 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 6-2. Last year at the Cincinnati Open, Pegula couldn’t progress beyond the round of 16 as she came second against Karolina Pliskova.
Emma Raducanu
The 19-year-old has not been in great form following her triumphant US Open campaign last year. She was ousted in the first round of the Canadian Open by Camila Giorgi.
The Bromley-based Raducanu played her first match at Ohio against the legendary 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams. The promising youngster pulled off a stunning win as she defeated the veteran in straight sets 6-4, 6-0. In the round of 32, Raducanu outclassed another Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka 6-0, 6-2.
