Following its incredible first season, Classroom of the Elite returns for more. Here is all you need to know about its second installment. It is all set to air on July 4, 2020.
On March 6, Kadokawa anime YouTube presentation announced this news. Creators Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto will return as directors while Aoi Akashiro handles episode scripting while Kazuaki Morita designs characters.
Classroom of the Elite concluded its run in September 2017 to great fan delight, only for fans to discover that it would return for another season this summer! Based on Shogo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose’s Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e light novel series (with anime adaptation running July-September 2017), Classroom of the Elite features anime adaptations every year since July of 2017 featuring light novel versions with an anime adaptation running July to September 2017 until this second one has returned!
Classroom of the Elite was originally released on Crunchyroll and Funimation; following their merger, fans can expect that Season Two to also be distributed via both platforms. Fans should expect Studio Lerche animation studio as well as many of the same staff members from its original anime release to return for another run of episodes.
One of the primary complaints with Classroom of the Elite’s first season was its failure to cover key events from its light novel source material and make strategic pacing decisions that compromised its overall quality; but its creators have promised that these issues will be rectified with Season Two.
Regarding English dubbing, it is anticipated that Crunchyroll and Funimation will offer a simultaneous dub release date; however, no specific release date has yet been set but will likely happen within three weeks after premiere date.
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is an average student stuck in Class D who doesn’t excel at anything, yet manages to become involved with many events through his friends Suzune Horikita and Kikyou Kushida. Though Kiyotaka attempts to stay out of sight from his activities, his father remains determined that they be taken off school altogether.
Classroom of the Elite anime ran from July to September 2017 and adapted the first three volumes of light novel series Classroom of the Elite. Fans had high hopes that there would be another season with additional episodes; unfortunately this never materialised and there hasn’t been an announcement for a sequel season in some time.

Classroom of the Elite season 2 staff includes Seiji Kishi and Iroyuki Hashimoto as chief directors; Hayato Kazano will once more handle episode scripting; character designer Kazuaki Morita as well as composer Ryou Takahashi have both returned.
Studio Lerche’s musical experimentation takes some unusual forms. “Tied Up to the Tide” starts out as a relaxed jazz number that wouldn’t seem out of place on Duper Sessions; yet at its conclusion it changes completely into an electric guitar rocker featuring accordion accompaniment – seemingly an unlikely choice but one which works perfectly in context with this song.
Classroom of the Elite first concluded its inaugural season in September 2017, garnering strong fan support and eagerly anticipated its sequel. Now, that wait will finally end: the second season will premiere on July 20, 2022.
Classroom of the Elite’s second season follows Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, an introvert from class D with an exceptional intellect. His school, Kodo Ikusei, is highly esteemed with top-tier quality teachers and students; however, it also harbors discriminatory tendencies toward lower class students; therefore dumping them into Class D.
As opposed to its predecessor, which only adapted three books of the light novel, Season Two will adapt four volumes including Volume 4.5: the Cruise Ship Special Test Arc. This arc will introduce romance elements with classmates Kei Karuizawa and Maya Satou expressing their feelings towards Ayanokoji.
After many years, Classroom of the Elite, the anime is finally returning with its second season! Based on Shogo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose’s light novels, the anime series made up its initial run many years ago but fans never gave up hope that it would return. Crunchyroll recently teased an upcoming season via Twitter posts offering minute details. Now they have announced its release date with visuals.
Classroom of the Elite’s first season followed Kiyotaka Ayanokouji, an introvert in Class D. His world begins to transform when he meets Suzune Horikita and Kikyo Kushida; these encounters cause his world to unravel further as he becomes involved with various affairs with these characters despite having inferior abilities; instead using his intellect to manipulate people to become popular in class.
Classroom of the Elite season 2 will debut in Japan on July 4, 2018, from 9 pm, and streaming platforms Crunchyroll and Funimation currently have it as is, while Studio Lerche is working on its dubbing. Fans are already anticipating its premiere!
After a long wait, Classroom of the Elite is finally returning with its second season, promising to address past issues and offer more drama and intrigue. Fans can mark their calendars for July 4, 2022, for the highly anticipated debut.
