Coco Gauff was the latest star to prove Roger Federer is one of the greatest ever

Osaka had no answers to Gauff’s approach, and the Japanese went out in straight sets to the 15-year-old.

Gauff was ecstatic after the win and highlighted that she knew about Osaka’s serves and needed to counter them.

The 15-year-old is making waves in the Tennis scene, but she had done so last year too.

One of the reporters asked her about the win and she highlighted that Federer had met her when she was knocked out of the juniors competition a few years ago.

“Someone who came up to me was Roger, that definitely had a big impact because I think I won French Open.

“I’m pretty sure French Open was my next tournament after that conversation I ended up winning. And actually Roger was also the third person I saw after my match today.”

The youngster continued by saying that she met a couple of other Tennis stars but hadn’t seen her parents.

“After today, I still haven’t seen my parents. I saw Roger first and Alessandro and Tony. So, yeah, inside he told me, ‘Congrats’.”
