Upcoming women’s tennis sensation Coco Gauff shared her thoughts on her favourite Grand Slam tournament after her fourth round singles exit at the Australian Open on Thursday.

At just 15, Gauff has looked much mature for her age and looks like a future star in the making. However, the teenager suffered a 7-6, 3-6, 0-6 loss to her fellow American Sofia Kenin, ending her good run-of-form at the year’s first major Grand Slam tournament.

The youngster was replying to journalists during a post-match press conference following her exit when one of the reporters posed a question asking which Grand Slam she considered as her favourite.

“How do you think your game will flourish in the future. If you got the French open, do you want to go for that as well?”, the reporter was heard asking.

Gauff, who took some time to reply gave it a little thought before answering that at the moment it was close between the US and the Australian Open as she enjoyed playing both of them.

“For sure, the French Open. I don’t really know, I guess I like the US Open but its hard to say because such awesome matches at all the tournaments and Slams,” she replied.

“The Australian crowd is unbelievable, even Wimbledon, so like I mean, before going to Australia, US Open’s been my favourite but now I am sure its close between Australia Open and US,” the youngster continued.

Gauff showed no hesitation in letting the press know about her love for the two Grand Slam tournaments and went on to say that she would be eager to play a couple of matches again in Australia if all goes well.

“So, we will see. With more experiences, I could play a couple of them more number of times but I really, really, truly love it here,” Gauff concluded.

Despite her singles exit, Gauff alongside Caty McNally, cruised into the next round after a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 comeback win over Japanese pair of Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara in the women’s double’s category.
