Following “Blackout” from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018), Warzone is Call of Duty’s second main battle royale installment. There is a close connection between Warzone’s story and Modern Warfare’s, Black Ops Cold War’s, and Vanguard’s seasonal narratives. Modern Warfare uses Verdansk across several multiplayer maps, while Rebirth Island is influenced by previous Black Ops games. The seasonal story of Vanguard is completed by Caldera and Fortune’s Keep.
