Confirmed Celtic line-up to face Aberdeen: Two Surprise changes by Rodgers

Reigning champions Celtic are all set to bounce back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership as they prepare to host Aberdeen at Parkhead.

Celtic have made a stuttering start to their Premiership campaign but they will be looking to build on the midweek Betfred Cup quarter-final triumph over St. Johnstone.

Brendan Rodgers’ men find themselves six points off league leaders Hearts with six games gone and were stunned by Kilmarnock last weekend for their second defeat of the season. Although they bounced back in midweek with a welcome 1-0 win in the Betfred Cup at St. Johnstone, the Hoops are still facing their worst start to a league season in two decades.

The pressure is increasing on Brendan Rodgers as he looks for a win against Derek McInnes’ side. Aberdeen, meanwhile, are seventh in the table, having won two, drawn three and lost one this season. They will be aiming to leapfrog Celtic but Rodgers should have a plan to overcome last season’s runners-up.

Celtic’s goals have been spread out this season. Olivier Ntcham is the only man to have scored two league goals this season. However, striker Leigh Griffiths is in good goalscoring form of late, having netted in each of his last three games.

Celtic would be aware of Aberdeen’s shaky defence, which could see Rodgers’ men go after them all guns blazing from the first minute at Parkhead.
