Confirmed line-ups for West Ham vs Manchester United:
West Ham are all set to host Manchester United at the London Stadium with Manuel Pellegrini looking to heap more misery on Jose Mourinho.
After a brief winning run of three victories in as many games, Manchester United were given a firm reality check last weekend against Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the newly-promoted side leaving Old Trafford with a well-deserved point.
United’s mood has been dampened further following their elimination from the EFL Cup earlier this week at the hands of Championship outfit Derby County.
West Ham, on the other hand, are beginning to click as a unit after a disastrous start to the new season which included four losses in four league games. The Hammers followed up their first win of the season against Everton with a gritty draw at home to Chelsea last Sunday.
An 8-0 win over Macclesfield Town in the EFL Cup has also provided Pellegrini’s side with a much-needed boost ahead of this big clash against Man United.
After the elimination from the EFL Cup, Mourinho will be desperate to bounce back and end September on a winning note. West Ham, meanwhile, will look to exploit United’s weaknesses and could press with high energy from the first blow of the whistle.
