Confirmed Man City XI to face Hoffenheim: Who will start for the Sky Blues?
Manchester City take on TSG Hoffenheim in the Champions League in what promises to be an exciting encounter between the two sides. Although Pep Guardiola’s men have continued their incredible run in the Premier League, they seem to have faltered in the elite European competition.
They faltered against Lyon for their opening game but they should be looking to bag all three points for this one. It won’t be easy to beat the German outfit at home but City clearly do not lack the quality or the numbers to establish their dominion in Europe as well.
As expected, Guardiola has made quite a few changes to the starting line-up.

Ederson will continue in the goal and the defence line looks more or less unchanged. But it is interesting to note that Aymeric Laporte will play at left-back.
The midfield looks as strong as ever with Fernandinho, Ilkay Gundogan and David Silva in the mix. And as far as the attack is concerned, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero must be relishing their chances to cause havoc tonight.
Although there were concerns about Aguero’s fitness, it looks like the talismanic Argentine striker is good to go.

All in all, City have named a strong squad and if anything, they should come away with nothing less than a win. After losing the first game, the Sky Blues need to win this one at all costs to secure their chances of progressing to the next round and beyond.
